Alexander Ream, Neal Dachstadter nom de plume, has been printed in Decanto Poetry Magazine 2013 & '14 (West Sussex UK), Western Viewpoints 2013, then Poetic Images: the Great American West 2014 (Woodinville Washington), The Society of Classical Poets Journals 2015-18 (Mt Hope New York), The Rocky Point Times 2015 (Puerto Peñasco Mexico) and thrice in The Lyric 2015, 17, 18 (Jericho Vermont). A member of the Demosthenian Literary Society at the University of Georgia, he deployed to Hawija, wrote on Lookout Mountain for 2 years, then continued with Delta Kappa Epsilon in Michigan, at The Shant. Berkeley, Ann Arbor, and Athens encouraged him as a writer. In 2015 he wrote in Arizona at Organ Pipe Cactus Nat'l Monument 5 miles north of Mexico.
